As John is destined for execution and doubts, he is reassured as Jesus points him back to the Word.
In our Encounters With Jesus series, we meet John the Baptist. In a time where he was imprisoned and isolated, and facing execution, we will see how his doubt and fear was overcome, as he received word from Jesus. John had questions, whether Jesus truly was the one that was supposed to come from God, and sent his disciples to inquire. In stead of confirmed directly to John's questions, Jesus pointed John back to the Scriptures, and that gave John all the answers he was seeking.
